P.S. I’m not a certified professional when it comes to photography, especially when I was in a state of physical exhaustion. Well… At least I didn’t collapse on the floor LOL
Week #2 Questions
- What’s their schedule like and how much does it cost?
Ans: OPEN 24/7 for exclusive Platinum & Extra members (payable 259,75$ per year or 9,99$ bi-weekly).
2. What class did you attend and with whom?
Ans: Virtual VELOCYCLE group workout with two of my best friends from Vanier College (James & Nebras).
3. How did you feel before, during, and after?
Ans: Before starting the indoor cycling class, we were very excited and impatient to start, hence we prepared ourselves by warming-up and stretching our legs, shins, calves and hamstrings for about 15 minutes before the “giant” TV’s countdown hit zero.
At this point (i.e. during the intensive velocycle session), it was physically challenging on the lower body to keep pedalling due to triggered fatigue mode, however maintaining the momentum at its optimal level proved to be a worthy task to attempt. Overall, I was feeling incredibly energized, self-confident and efficient in the course of the training, while pushing myself beyond my cardiovascular capability and “sweating bullets” non-stop.
Afterwards (i.e. total duration = 1 h 45 minutes), I felt extremely dizzy, unbalanced, while dealing with a painful migraine for 10 minutes straight, and at the same time stabilizing my accelerating heartrate in order to avoid a potential shortness of breath. Also, my legs were extremely sore (i.e. I couldn’t walk for half an hour, no joke), yet I felt surprisingly satisfied about my ROCK SOLID performance 😉
4. What did you learn, like, and dislike?
Ans: I learned how to cope with my “backstage, lousy” emotional state of mind by keeping the mileage pace with my buddies at a steady rate and not letting my tiredness feeling get the best of me. Essentially, this epic experience made me realize how much potential each one of us can realize if we continue to strive and aim for greatness as a whole.
In addition, the fact that the virtual coach was constantly encouraging us made it seem easier to complete our target range of 15-20 km in under 2 hours.
On the other hand, one drawback in their Virtual Velocycle class was an odd interruption in the broadcast which made us lose progress and reset the operating system on our exercise bike for almost half an hour.
5. Were you glad you went and would you recommend it to a friend?
Ans: Indeed. I was very satisfied regarding how the staff treated their clientele (i.e. friendly atmosphere), including us (Me, Blue Jay and Nero – their assigned nicknames), how clean their facilites were kept, plus the number of unlimited services they offered such as interactive chair massages and Hydro massage beds which ultimately treats muscle soreness and regenerates the tense muscle parts, increasing the blood circulation to muscles and tissues, thus making them relaxed and flexible once again. Another cool feature is their limitless indoor tanning room available for exclusive Platinum & Extra membership owners (available for 18 y/o +). To conclude, their virtual VELOCYCLE sessions are fun and enjoyable even if the aftermath is dreadful (i.e. “not for the faint of heart”).
Recommended to my family & friends: YES! It’s an amazing Fitness Center for those living at proximity of Côte-Vertu Boulevard and who wish to stay in shape and live a happy lifestyle.
~ In turn, I will definitely rate Éconofitness a 5/5*

Week 4

#BuzzFit Gym
Website URL: https://www.buzzfit.ca/
1. What’s their schedule like and how much does it cost?
Ans: OPEN 24/7, 365 DAYS PER YEAR (Free 7-Day Trial Policy Included; Price BUZZ CARD MEMEBERSHIP = $22.99/month, Taxes And Extra Fees Applicable & FIT CARD MEMBERSHIP $10.99/month, Taxes And Extra Fees Appicable).
2. What class did you attend and with whom?
Ans: It was a personal (i.e. solo, attended the gym alone, unnacompanied) workout/ weight-lifting training in their exclusive 10-Minute Circuit Abz facility. (I managed to achieve 8 runs of 10-15 minutes each from Circuit #1 to #13, which equals to approx. 1h30-2 hours).
3. How did you feel before, during, and after?
Ans: Before starting the intense workout, I was very nervous and impatient because this required a lot of speed, stamina, pace and fortitude to achieve the under-10 min. mark (i.e. I was against the clock each run/attempt, which made the workout rewarding and incredibly fun).
Yet, during the workout came the real challenge of dealing with abdominal muscle strain which made every move, sit-ups (i.e. in-between 45-60 kgs/rep) relatively difficult to execute with ease. Nevertheless, my full workout was a success, because I managed to complete 8 runs (6 of which were under 10 minutes limit on the stopwatch), which felt like I was on top of the world 😉
Finally, after my abdominal reinforcement training, every single inch of my upper body felt sore and uncomfortable, however, I remained composed while I was focusing on recovering my strength while eating a protein bar and consuming some fiber-packed nuts and cereals. It took me around 15-20 minutes to catch my breath (i.e. reach my initial resting heart rate zone of 62-65 bpm, which felt like an eternity to be honest).
4. What did you learn, like, and dislike?
Ans: I learned how to deal with my bodily equilibrium while pushing myself beyond my muslce strength limits and keeping the pace with the time-pressure factor “ticking away”. In addition, I highly appreciate it the clientele who attended the gym and its staff which were very helpful in giving me a full tour with my one-week free trial that I activated. However, the one weakness I noticed were the changing rooms, who were fairly old, while having rusted shower heads and dirty tiles inside. That about wraps it up!
5. Were you glad you went and would you recommend it to a friend?
Ans: I was 110% satisfied with the fitness, muscle conditioning centre, along with the friendly staff members responsible for keeping every facility clean and in excellent condition. Also, the equipment was of superior quality and of the newest edition, while rasing their security standards to its top notch (i.e. it felt very safe to maneuver and lift heavy weights of +50 kgs on the weight lifting gear and machines, which made a proportion of the full-body workout smooth and fluid, without having to endur the suffering from a serious accident or minor injury that usually happens when equipment isn’t properly configured/adjusted in gyms). Therefore, I would absolutely recommend it to every single friend and family member of mine due to its qualitative measures and improvements all year-round. Also, the monthly membership card is worth every penny, because it offers a wide selection of additional services, like hydromassages, tanning sessions, aerobic classes, and much more.
